Challenges

Back in 2001, The Superhandz website started the XCM (Xtreme Card Manipulation) original internet challenges, encouraging people from all over the world to take our challenges. These challenges were designed to help you expand your thinking and knowledge of XCM, and in so doing, push the boundaries of our art. We continue the tradition with our Challenges; however, we're expanding the Challenges to include other sportz other than XCM. Each challenge consists of achieving feats in unknown territory in a particulart sport. The contestants make videos which are then judged in skills and creativity by our master manipulators. The Superhandz/Hanlordz XCM Challenges are yet another original concept that has changed the world or Xtreme Card Manipulation.

Curent Challenge (XCM #7):

XCM - 2 Boxes - 1 Deck

In this challenge we explore using 2 empty boxes and only 1 deck. By introducing 2 boxes, this leads to many new possibilities and may open the doors and creative minds of our artists.

XCM Original Challenge # 5 - Removals: Everyday we take the deck out of our pockets! Deck in the box out of pocket, clip with deck out of pocket, just cards out of pockets etc...but why on earth hasn't anyone come up with a cool way to do it?? So this challenge is to ultimately find flashy and clever ways to take out a deck out of places where you would find it reasonable.

XCM Challenge #4 - No Thumbs : No thumbs. You must manipulate cards without using your thumbs at all! You may interlock your thumbs, or just not use them, your choice. This is a category in XCM, and like all our challenges, is extremely hard. But when you try it, you will see yourself grow as an artist.

XCM Challenge #3 - Beat : Create a manipulation routine while creating a beat by using the cards and your hands ONLY! No other tools or influences may be used. Just your hands on the deck. You must make a beat, rythem, or series of beats by using XCM moves and your hands on the deck. In case you are confused, you can use riffles, springs, dribbles, drop packets, flick packets, thump the deck and other moves to make sounds with the deck of cards. If you combine moves and such, you can actually make a steady audible beat with the deck. Do this while creating something visual with the cards to complete the package.

XCM Challenge #2 - Handz Off the Cards: Manipulate the cards without using your hands. Members had to manipulate objects to manipulate the cards! This taught members how to think "inside the box", and how to be truly creative. The only way to be truly creative, is to do something that hasn't even been close to being done before. This is what we at Handlordz strive to teach, and love to watch.

XCM Challenge #1 - Sealed Deck Opener : Open a sealed pack of cards using only Xtreme Card Manipulation. You must open the wrap, take it off the cards, and open the sealed deck all using XCM. The challenge ends when the box flap is opened. You may slit the plastic (not the seal) along one edge prior to starting using a knife, but it must appear to be sealed. In other words you cannot remove an entire part of plastic, but you can cut along one edge. The seal must remain intact. This was a difficult challenge as it is a concept that has been hardly explored, but the guys pulled through and did a great job.
